Wetlands are an Important Part of the Great Lakes' Ecosystem

A red fox strolls through a wetland while a mayfly passes by.  Wetlands filter out pollutants and give shelter to young fish, frogs and turtles and other parts of the living web.

Some people may bulldoze these areas thinking they are worthless, but they are necessary and help sustain the ecosystem of the Great Lakes.
