Fishing on the Great Lakes

Fishing is heating up on Lake Michigan. The Great Lakes are freshwater, however Pacific salmon have been planted and are thriving here. Also steelhead (a lake run rainbow trout) and the native brown trout.

I had a salmon for dinner and it was delicious. I baked it in olive oil and a little butter. The trick is to turn it once and then take it out of the oven right away when the fish flakes easily.

Read about Great Lakes fish in my book, The Dynamic Great Lakes. This book is available from the publisher at 1-301-695-1707. It is widely available on websites such as Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com as well as many other stores.
