In the pale blue morning light I saw seven American bald eagles playing on the frozen ice and in the air.A couple of them were perched on an ice foot (ice that extends into the water) and the others seemed to be playing tag before they sat down together on the frozen beach like poker players at a table.
There were ducks out in the open water.
The eagle pictured is carrying a fish, its favorite food.
